O Jonathan, woe is me for thee,	צַר-לִי עָלֶיךָ
my brother Jonathan,	אָחִי יְהוֹנָתָן,
very kind hast thou been unto me,	נָעַמְתָּ לִּי מְאֹד,
thy love to me was wonderful	נִפְלְאַתָה אַהֲבָתְךָ לִי
